In the meantime, I'm turning in another Trouble installment next week. Things have been pretty hectic in Tennessee and at this very moment Markie is definitely in a "Heap of Trouble" and I'm not sure how it will all end for him. Poor fella seems to find danger wherever he goes. ;)

4 Headstones for Nine Inches of Snow and the Ebony Princess!

Nine Inches of Snow and the Ebony Princess was a cute fairy tale, and while the characters where familiar - the prince, the down-trodden princess and the evil step mom - it was still a fresh and sexy read that left me wanting to know more about Aziza and David’s life together.” 4 Headstones, Shona for Bitten By Books. 4 Cherries for The Wolf in the Mansion!

“I very much enjoyed The Wolf in the Mansion. I found it to be a good paranormal who-done-it ala the television show, Columbo. I knew who the villain was, but I loved how the main characters went about catching the “bad guy”. Lest I forget, the story had very hot romantic scenes as Lincoln and Deja discover a passion that had simmered for five years. A wonderful read that I highly recommend” 4 Cherries, Hibiscus, Whipped Cream Erotic Reviews.

Author Discovery - Silapa Jarun!

SAMURAI'S FORBIDDEN LOVE: KATANA DUET by Silapa Jarun (new-to-me author):

Aki and Akeno are twin brothers, mirror samurai who are finding it difficult to assimilate to the American ways. Helping them along on their journey are the mysterious, and small-town siblings, Konrad and Klara who are renting out a room to the brothers as the twins try to save up enough money to make it on their own.

Aki, an ambitious medical student assists Konrad in his makeshift lab as the American works feverishly to find the answers behind and a cure to his younger sister's respiratory illness. But like the relationship between Aki and Akeno, the brother and sister's relationship is one fraught with intrigue and prohibition.

Aki is the older twin and, driven by a past incident where he was unable to defend his brother from the predators of their homeland back in Japan, he spends his days now trying to protect Akeno, the seemingly more submissive and "weak" twin from his own naiveté and the world at large.

KATANA DUET is a unique and enthrallingly executed story, one of intrigue, forbidden love, familial betrayal and loyalty that comes to an explosive and surprising climax and will leave the reader reflective if not totally staggered. This is the kind of story and characters that sneak up on and stay with the reader, haunting her long after the last page is read. The subject matter is definitely not for the squeamish or readers of delicate sensibilities, but it is well-worth the time and risk to experience Aki and Akeno's world.

5 Hearts for Manifest Destiny!

“Ms. McKeever does some masterful writing weaving in parts about the previous books and the gifts inherent in the Vega and Calminetti families. I'm glad she's able to work in some of the history, beauty and landmarks of Colorado as she builds the story. The scenery of places I may never get to or sites I love adds a lot of realism to the story. Dark and Fair Elves, centaurs, precognition and some mind reading flit through the pages filling in the storyline or sometimes building the suspense. There's a lot of fun between Jason and Evelyn and it's easy to hope they can work out their differences. This is a really enjoyable read.” 5 Hearts, Dee Dailey, The Romance Studio. 5 Cherries for Ingenue's Choice!

“Zara is a very fun character, as she brings her own brand of humor and wit to this book. Keir is a hot, dark and mysterious character that just screams dominant. Patryk is such a sweet submissive; I could not help but love him. Combining these three wonderful characters, along with a great story of healing the pain from the past, made for an enjoyable read. If you enjoy M/M erotic romance, with a touch of BDSM, then this book is for you.” 5 Cherries, Amaranth for Whipped Cream Erotic Romance Reviews.

“Eternal Designs is not only an action-packed thriller, but it’s also a tightfisted tale of suspense and intrigue. Gracie C. McKeever continues to amaze with her uncanny ability to weave a tantalizing tapestry of unique characters, enrapturing plotlines, and cinematic detail. She has mastered the difficult technique of presenting this literary trifecta in such a powerfully compelling way time and again, and she only gets better with time. In each tale that she crafts, the vividness of her characters and the vigor of her storytelling create exciting, enticing worlds to which the reader will long to escape time and again. Highly recommended.” 5 Stars, Josee Morgan for Apex Reviews.

4 Divas for Ingenue's Choice and The Wolf in the Mansion!

“All of the characters in Ingenue’s Choice are likable and realistically depicted. Keir and Patryck really come alive, due to the author’s skill at creating believable dialogue and interaction between them. The romantic tension between the two men is instantaneous, and builds to steaming and yet tender interactions. I rooted for them from the beginning. I also especially like the author’s warm and casual narrative style. The prose has a smooth and conversational feeling to it. It’s interesting to see, from Zara’s perspective, traits in these men that each overlooks in himself. They have the potential to enrich each other’s lives and just need a bit of help to let go of their baggage and move forward. In spite of the many paranormal elements in the book, the contemporary setting and the people inhabiting it are so well written that the reader won’t doubt anything that occurs. The appearance of the ghosts and angels is so seamless that the reader is never distracted from the main storyline: the romance between Keir and Patryck.” 4 Divas, Dark Diva Reviews. The Wolf in the Mansion:

“McKeever writes short books that pack a punch in the beginning and do not stop squeezing your central nervous system like a vice grip until you’ve reached the last page . McKeever throws intriguing ingredients of Shakespeare, soap opera and genuine, old fashioned romance into every single page, blending the mixture into a satisfying meal.

She also has a welcome taste for explosive sex scenes that keep this a page turner… Gracie C. McKeever has produced another fine, evocative, erotic romantic thriller.” 4 Delightful Divas by A.J. Llewellyn. Dark Diva Reviews. To read the full review, visit here: http://darkdivareviews.webs.com/paranormal.htm

2 New Reviews for Bouncer's Folly!

“Bouncers Folly is written in a very visual, readable, yet highly literary style. Gracie C. McKeever blends her hot man on man action with a spiritual tale of love's redemption. Having not read the first two books, it never felt like this was a problem. The author infuses enough information about Zara to make this story flow naturally as a stand-alone title, yet made this reviewer want to run out and buy the first two books in the series. A skillful, masterful tale told by an author with genuine talent and a compelling taste for the macabre.” 5 Delightful Divas, AJ Llewellyn for Dark Diva Reviews. To read the complete review, visit here: http://darkdivareviews.webs.com/glbt.htm

“The third installment in the Zara’s Bois series, Bouncer’s Folly is a wonderful addition and continues the growth of Zara and the people surrounding her... I enjoyed the transition from Zara the woman to Zara the man which is an interesting journey and well written. Fans of M/M and BDSM eroticism will be intrigued by this tale and Zara’s new lease on life.” 4 Headstones, Sarai for Bitten by Books. 2 New Reviews for Ingenue's Choice!

Gracie McKeever combines old characters and settings with new and draws the reader ever closer to the newly maturing character of Zara who is becoming more likable by the day. The second installment in the Zara’s Bois series, Ingenue’s Choice is better formed than the first in the series and includes more dialogue with the two angels that started it all, Micah and Jamaereh. Fans of M/M and BDSM will appreciate the eroticism of this tale and the growth of the characters as they begin to heal old hurts.” 4 Headstones, Sarai for Bitten by Books. To read the full review, visit here: http://bittenbybooks.com/?p=652

“The developing romance between Patryk and Keir is very sweet and was a pleasure to read about. The sex in this book is scorching hot and there is some mild BDSM, too.
Gracie McKeever does a great job at creating a lively and sometimes very funny story, while depicting her characters in a very believable way. Ingenue's Choice is a very enjoyable paranormal story and I'm off now to read the third book in the series, Bouncer's Folly.4 Roses, Reviewd by Christian Otto for the REC. 4 Cherries for Nine Inches of Snow and the Ebony Princess!

“This is the first work I’ve read by Gracie McKeever, and I enjoyed it a great deal. The storyline, which draws elements from different well-known fairytales, is tight and well written, and the characters are all realistic and well-developed. Heroine Aziza Lopez is the right combination of uncertain and independent. Because she and hunky hero David Healey get to meet before he ends up a comatose patient on her nursing ward, we also get to see her fiery side, especially after she witnesses his shape-shifting. David is flawed but completely likable, the nice guy driven by need who still tries to do the right thing. I wasn’t expecting the paranormal twist to this story, when David turns to a wolf at the moment his life is put in danger, but it fits right into the plot. I don’t normally read a lot of paranormal, but I thought David’s shifting between worlds was well done and easy to follow.” 4 Cherries, Reviewed by Dandelion for Whipped Cream.

4 1/2 Stars from RT for Eternal Designs!

“McKeever delivers a powerhouse novel of desire, deceit and murder. The characters leap off the page to tell an intricate story of love that supersedes death. The suspense is taut and becomes more tightly drawn as suspects are eliminated.” 4 ½ Stars, reviewed by Donna M. Brown for Romantic Times Book Reviews

Interview with Zack Benjamin at In Their Own Words

This is the first time I’ve done anything like this (not counting the creation process when I was actually writing the book) and interviewed one of my characters for a blog. It was fun opening up the story again to re-examine aspects that could be pulled out for an interview session. Zack was, for the most part, a cooperative subject, but he’s still making some major adjustments (as you’ll see from the interview) as regards his twin sister’s new life.

New Trailer for Spells Cast in Shadows!

Montana has been having visions of the "pony-man" since she was a child, her first live encounter with the centaur after a near-death experience when she was five and Seth saved her from drowning. More than two decades later, the pair meet again and this time Montana's doing the saving.

Driven by recurrent dreams to take an ill-advised predawn ride around her ranch, Montana Freeborn stumbles across something in the road from those wildest dreams: a real live centaur. At least she thinks so. By the time she reaches the supine figure trampled beneath the hooves of her prize Appaloosa, she begins to wonder if her eyes deceived her, since before them now is a man, a magnificent, unconscious and very naked man.

Cast out from his tribe as a punishment for causing the death of a fellow Sapphiran, Seth Phoenix is an arrogant young centaur of royal heritage infatuated with the human race and now, after a twist of fate, forced to count on one of its ranks for his survival.

His one chance at redemption – brokered with the Black Elf by his desperate mother, Thyra Phoenix – could be the key to his mother's freedom, or his own downfall…

New Review for Terms of Surrender!

I just received a 4.5 review from the wonderful ladies over at Sistah Friend Book Club and wanted to share it here ;)

“Gracie C. McKeever’s Terms of Surrender is filled with smoldering scenes and intriguing characters. Main characters Slany and Nick have a fiery physical attraction that erupts into a deep emotional bond. If you think that this is the normal storyline of a romance novel, you are sadly mistaken. This book packs more action than a ‘hood fight on a Friday night. I give it 4 ½ sistah hugs!” 4.5 Sistah Hugs, Jetrell http://www.sistahfriend.com/termsofsurrenderreview.htm

Hey, Don't Forget Dee

Since many of the wonderful SirenBookStrand authors are introducing themselves, I thought, I'd do the join in, so here goes. My nom de plume is Dee Dawning and I write contemporary mainstream and erotic romance, sometime with a paranormal element.

I have three current novels with another publisher and BookStrand has contracted, starting in July, to publish three more of my stories, Love & Seduction in Las Vegas, By the Book and Gizmo.

Love and Seduction in Las Vegas, is the story of Loretta Bishop, an erstwhile, middle aged, sexually liberated, Las Vegas cocktail waitress, who suddenly has the enviable task of teaching a movie star good looking college student how to woo and seduce women. It's funny, it's sad and it has a fabulous ending that will make you cry for joy for Loretta.

By the Book is a sexy story about Sarah and Danny Williams, who, trying to add a little spice into their sex life, re-enact a scene a week out of the fictional salacious erotic book, Lascivious Liaisons.

Gizmo? Well Gizmo is a short story about a middle aged woman who suddenly received a device through the mail from the future that allows her to experience phenomenal things.
