Wednesday's Words for July 31, 2013

What a strange summer we’re having this year! The weather here has gone from chilly to hot and back again. Today is the last day of July, which seems incredible to me. I really think that as we get older, how we notice the world around us changes. We march to our own rhythm, and in some ways our focus turns inward—but not really in a selfish way. Things in the outside world that when we were younger seemed so vital to us just aren’t that important anymore.

Sometimes I think that I’m living in a different reality than other people are. The days don’t mean the same thing to me as they used to. Yes, every one of them is precious, but their value to me is different than it used to be. Now, the days are not governed by the time on the clock and what I can get for myself in the hours provided, so much as they are defined by my activities, my thoughts and tasks, my goals and mostly, my relationships with other people.

I’ve been staying up later than I ever have before—now that I am fully freed from having to drive my beloved to work, I’m slowly coming to the realization that I don’t have to live by the clock the way I used to.

It’s been kind of slow evolution for me, though, and while I know that burning the midnight oil has been a choice I’ve made, I’m really not sure I like it.

I may stay up until two in the morning, but then I feel really guilty if I sleep in until nine, or nine-thirty. I feel like I’m standing with a foot in each world—the world of the night owl and the world of the early riser. It’s uncomfortable, to say the least, because those worlds are drifting apart and I am way passed the age when I can comfortably do the splits.

Life is going to change even more for us over the next five years, as my beloved approaches his retirement. Friends, I worry about that, I really do. I don’t worry so much about a change in our income. We’re very blessed that way. Our house is paid for, we live frugally, and we both have retirement savings accounts. Added to those blessings, I am doing something that I not only love but that earns me a living, and it’s something I can conceivably continue to do until I die—the Good Lord willing and the river don’t rise.

No, I worry about what life is going to be like when we are here, together. Every day. Week after week, month after month, and year after year after year. Just the two of us, and the puppy and the cat.

Seriously, I worry about this. I’ve seen my beloved with two days off every week, and I know how he tends to spend those days. I shudder to think of him with nothing but time.

He tells me I don’t have anything to worry about. I’m going to pray that’s so. I do know that like me, he believes that when one retires, one needs to keep busy. People who retire from active jobs, who then do nothing day in and day out but sit on their bottoms watching television and going for naps, don’t tend to live very long. David has long wanted to restore old farm equipment—or old cars, he hasn’t decided which he wants to do the most. Hopefully, we’ll be able to have the facility for him to follow that dream. Our goal is to buy another house before he retires, one that has an outbuilding he can use as a “shop” to work in.

We don’t need or even want fancy, we just need something that will work for us. This house with its upstairs and its laundry room in the basement and its river-terraced yard really does not work for us anymore. Or more specifically, it doesn’t work for me.

I always knew that life was supposed to slow down as we got older. I’m not certain I understood beforehand that this slowing down would be accompanied by a filter that would weave itself between me and the rest of the world.

But at least now I understand the serene, slightly unfocused expressions I used to notice on the faces of the old people, sitting quietly on park benches, as they watched the world go by.

Love,
Morgan

Angelic Forecast ~ #256

As I stride toward the room, I blank my mind as I've been trained. Once inside, I sit cross-legged and close my eyes. Immediately, I mentally download my memory of the air battle in as much detail as I can recall.

Once I finish, I am bathed in the rejuvenating rainbow light. I feel it stream inside me like powerful sunshine. I feel the light repairing me, rebuilding each cell of my body.

Afterward, there is a silence... one that isn't usual. I frown and wait, even as and unease rises within me.

"What is it, Dhuroth?" I ask, once we face each other. Once we are alone in our room at the underground base.

"The mission, your mission destroyed the enemy force significantly. However," my lion man pauses, and his eyes darken, "one of your team has been captured... their telepathic communication silenced."

I seize up inside, go cold. "No wonder," I drag in a large breath, "no wonder I couldn't... what do you know?"

"Only that Graela and her jet are hostages," Dhuroth rumbles, his tone both sad and furious.

Our hands join, a way to comfort each other. "She is still with us... I feel her... the suffering."

"Plans are being made to rescue her and her jet, of course." My lion man gazes deeply into my eyes, and I am his so willing love captive. "When you are rested, my one, we need you to break through the enemy's shield, and mind communicate with her."

I knit my brow, puzzled. "I... I'll do my best. But..."

"I will guide you in the technique. As I have done..."

"In our past life together," I finish.

He nods, my regal powerful lion man. "Come, rest in my arms, my Sh’raka."

ANGELIC FORECAST ~

The theme for this week: GOODNESS seeks it own. Now, the Good Force wraps Mother Earth anew, bringing a revival of soul and spirituality beyond what has been recorded in history/herstory.

However...

Explosive! Once again, the world explodes. Superstorm weather explosions, physical explosions, war explosions, corruption-scandal explosions, economy-currency explosions, and explosions of TRUTH on every front.

Get ready. At this point in history, the lies told to the people are tripping over themselves. For now, the spotlight of revelation goes nova bright.

On the personal front, this is the week to indulge in whatever good times come your way. Laugh. Make merry. And, most of all, relish your loving relationships.

Also, look for ways to improve your daily life. Follow whatever inspirations come your way. And, as always, continue to prepare for the uncertain economic times ahead.

On the magickal, mystical front, this week, the 'Mages of Ages Lost' dispel more of the GREAT DECEIVING BLACKNESS with whirling swipes of their light blades. What has been hidden for centuries, now comes forth as golden-bright illumination, as a path for humanity to follow out of the current dark ages.

Watch for this golden-bright magick. Feel it. For, many of us will now be *waking up* in incremental steps toward this most ancient 'knowing'.

Know this magickal AWARENESS is yours. You need only open your eyes. You need only seek your inner truth. Know as well, this knowledge is encoded inside each one us, as part of our inherited genetics.

New Release and New Series: SEDUCING CARMA - Passion Peak, Colorado 1

I'm so pleased to announce not only a new release, but a new series!! SEDUCING CARMA is book 1 in my Passion Peak, Colorado series!!

Welcome to PASSION PEAK, COLORADO, where cowboys and sexy Doms compete with the mountains as the best scenery in town.

Passion Peak and its twin, Sleepy Cat Peak, are both visible from the town. The Legend of Sleepy Cat Peak holds that when snow covers the mountain, it forms the image of a large cat. When the snow melts earlier than usual, the cat is then awakened early from its slumber and comes into the town, causing havoc for the remainder of the year...

And as if superstitious legends weren't enough, there's a ghost hunter with a reputation for manufacturing fake phenomena hanging around town, trying to get into historic homes to investigate...

Passion Peak, Colorado is a spin-off series from Racy Nights, and like Racy Nights, this series is MFM menage with plenty of kinky sex, consensual BDSM, and an HEA in every book.

BLURB for SEDUCING CARMA:

[Siren Ménage Everlasting: Erotic Consensual BDSM Menage a Trois Romance, M/F/M, paddling, flogging, sex toys, HEA]

Carma Mandanici is forced to confront her abusive past when an uncle she barely knows leaves her a large amount of money. She seeks comfort in the arms of longtime crush, Mateo Alvarado.

Mateo is more than happy to help Carma start to heal from her past, as well as explore her BDSM fantasies. But Mateo has a tragedy in his own past that he must confront before he can become a Dom to Carma, or allow himself to fall in love with her.

Blaine Peterson and Mateo have been friends since they met as freshmen in college. Blaine left behind a secret that involves his ex-submissive when he moved to Passion Peak to take a lucrative job and start over. He’s falling in love with Carma, right along with Mateo. But when his secret catches up with him, he might lose both his friendship with Mateo, and the one woman he can’t live without.

Wednesday's Words for July 24, 2013

Recent events have got me thinking about something that, believe it or not, I don’t really think about all time: professional behavior.

A lot of people associate that phrase, “professional behavior” with how you behave in an office environment—or while at work in retail, or the teaching or medical professions.

However, “professional behavior” is an ideal to strive toward regardless of whether one works in an office or store or school or hospital, or if one works for oneself in any capacity—say, a small plumbing business fixing toilets, or even as an author.

What is professional behavior? I went looking online for a really good definition, because how I perceive that characteristic—at least right now as I am writing this, in a far from objective frame of mind—may in fact be colored by that very bias to which I have just confessed.

I don’t often quote others in these essays, but I came across some excellent words written by someone else. The website where I found those words is here: http://www.ehow.com/facts_5182757_definition-professional-behavior.html#page=1 and you can click on that link or copy and paste the url into your browser and read the entire not very long article. The author is credited as being Lynda Moultry Belcher. Here is what it says on that site about Ms. Moultry-Belcher: Lynda Moultry Belcher is a writer, editor and public relations professional. She worked for a daily newspaper for 10 years and has been a freelance writer for more than 15 years. She has contributed to Divorce360 and Revolution Health Group, among other publications. She is also the author of "101 Plus-Size Women's Clothing Tips" and writes "Style At Any Size," a bi-weekly newspaper column.

This author indeed bears the necessary credentials to have a few words to say on the subject of professional behavior. The section of the article that caught my eye reads as follows:

“It is important to remain professional at all times when engaged in a business environment, whether for a company or your own business. Being professional not only lets people know you are a reputable person to work with, but also conveys intelligence and poise regarding your position. People who are professional are unfailingly polite, courteous and well-spoken, no matter what the situation. Being professional means you keep your cool and remain calm under any circumstances. No matter how upset a co-worker or customer makes you, you don't react; you deal with the situation rationally and calmly. Not everyone places an emphasis on professional behavior. When this happens, it's important that you still remain businesslike and not react to this adverse behavior. Instead, remain professional, no matter what the behavior is of those around you.”

I believe that this is sound advice, and applies to all people who make their living from the good graces of other people. That includes writers, don’t you think?

My personal take is that it not only includes us, we’re a group that should be particularly mindful of the way we are perceived by our peers, our contracted professional associates, and our readers.

I am a logical person, even though I am an author of erotic romance. I could wave the “artiste” flag, I suppose. There are those who would say that after having published 32 books, with the 33rd being in the hands of my publisher, I’m entitled to be a bit of a diva.

But I never believed that having talent, or being published, or having an audience excused bad manners, or tacky actions or rudeness of any kind.

I therefore have some advice to those who need it. I will even give that advice in a way that’s plain, and simple, and logical: Words of edification will never come back and bite you in the ass.

Love,
Morgan

Why More? The Allure of Sequels by Lindsay Townsend

Recently, Siren-Bookstrand accepted my historical romance 'A Summer Bewitchment'. This is a sequel to my historical romance 'The Snow Bride'.

I loved writing it. But why did I?

'The Snow Bride' is a complete romance in itself and can be read as a stand-alone title. Even so, when I had finished that story, I found the characters hard to let go. Magnus and Elfrida still had things to share with me and tales to tell me. Their differences in rank continued to intrigue me, also Magnus' battle scars and wounds begged the question, how deep did they go? I found myself thinking of them within their new home, in a summer landscape, and soon I had the first scene in my mind.

I was also drawn to write a sequel because I liked these people. I liked
Magnus, his laconic, dry wit and rock-like dependability. I enjoyed the fact that he's the kind of Alpha male who doesn't have to yell about his masculinity all the time. I liked Elfrida with her fierce sympathy and deft skills, her courage and her self-doubt. They were challenging, interesting characters.

In 'A Summer Bewitchment,' the romantic conflict had to be different to that in 'The Snow Bride,' when the pair were learning each other and falling in love. Just as in real-life, Magnus and Elfrida have flash points in their relationship and I explored those. There were also new tensions I could build in. With 'The Snow Bride' I used the fairy story of Beauty and the Beast as an inspiration. 'A Summer Bewitchment' draws on the old, terrifying legend of the Pied Piper, who seduces youngsters away.

I am pleased with the resulting story, which takes Magnus and Elfrida to different places and different points in their relationship and marriage. I hope you will be too.

Angelic Forecast ~ #255

My jet gives a satisfied purr and a little shake of herself. I continue petting her, and feel our bonding deepen. I've been told with each successful mission this would be the case.

"How goes it?" I ask my lion man long moments later.

"A major victory," he rumble-bold announces. Then, I hear his hesitation.

"What does that mean?" I ask, after several thumps of my heart.

"My one, you must decompress, I believe you would call it."

"Yes," I murmur, feeling my jet's sudden weariness. I croon a song I have learned to her, and continue stroking her.

When she slips into her 'rest', I ease from her, then jump to the alabaster floor. Before moving to the 'rainbow light' room as I think of it, I press a kiss on her super-slick hide.

The Sun Lion Roars Into Being Bringing a Ferocious Energy

On July 22nd the sun enters the astrological sign of Leo. The year 2013 initiates a lion-warrior energy within each one of us. For now, our true fierce power awakens, and it is mighty.

How this new power expresses itself will be unique to each individual, yet there will be an over-arching connection between us. This means that many more of us stand together for the sake of liberty, truth, and justice.

On the magickal, mystical front, with the rise of the leonine frequency, the true magickal past of the human race not only continues to reveal itself, but ROARS into the public AWARENESS. The emphasis will be on the Age of Leo, however, back in time to approximately 10,000 B.C.

This week, the 'Mages of Ages Lost' wield their sun-glistening, mighty blades dispelling monstrous cyclones of evil -- the latest attack against humankind by the dark-side magicians. These age-old destroyers would obscure their true natures from the eyes of the people. For, once known to the public at large, their days will be numbered.

Showers of Love - Cutie and the Cowboy Trucker + BayouBabe99er

Cutie and the Cowboy Trucker

Cutie and the Cowboy Trucker (MF)
Mainstream African-American Romance
$3.50

Blurb:

Widow Veronica Torres needs something desperately—invisibility. Escaping the clutches of her conniving brother-in-law and traveling incognito in the RV she traded for online sets her on a collision course with her new destiny, and a barreling fiery-red 18-wheeler.

Trucker Mike Masterson steams at the close call. First, he nearly sideswipes her. Now, she ends up at the same rest stop with mechanical trouble. Maybe, she deserves to sweat it out in the June heat since she has the attention span the size of a pea. But, the child in her company deserves better. What else can Mike do besides cart them to his garage for repairs?

Will their burgeoning relationship ignite more fireworks than the upcoming Fourth of July celebration? Or will the sparks of six nights and seven days of summertime sizzle—fizzle to an end?

Scene:
Mike has tremendous difficulty keeping Veronica off his mind.

After a long, satisfying shower, now he sat on a stool—shirtless, in his pajama bottoms—at the kitchen island in near darkness, sipping from his coffee mug, puffing on the nicotine fixer, and whiling away the time. Mike left his perch to stand at the sliding doors. He cracked it a touch to hear the roar of the waves. The rushing water lured him out onto the patio. He lounged under the silvery moon with a shoulder against the brick wall.
“Can’t sleep either?”
Veronica’s question caught him by surprise. Her voice was husky with sleep. Mike’s eyes found her stretched out on the padded recliner on her private terrace. He slowly put down his coffee and fake cigarette. The fight within raged. In the end, he took the walk to Veronica under the hypnotic spell of the ocean’s drumming waves and a huge lovers’ moon.
Mike never uttered a word.
He had one sure way to let her know what had brought on his insomnia. Mike squeezed into the one-person recliner, forcing Veronica onto her side. He slid his arm under her neck, which lay her head on his shoulder. He crushed her to him with one hand while controlling the angle of her head with the other. He stared into her dreamy eyes, trying to decipher any rejection to his actions.
The rapid increase of every breath she took stoked his fire.
“I couldn’t stop thinking about you.” He touched his lips to hers in a demonstrative smack. “Did fate arrange for us to turn up out here at the same time?” He teased her mouth with his tongue and gained entrance. “Just say stop,” he mumbled against her lips, “and I will.”
Veronica panted and moaned her consent.
Mike sought to alleviate a bruising ache with his deep-throated kiss. He enjoyed the way Veronica reciprocated, especially the leg she currently draped across his. He explored her trembling body to his delight. All at once, she halted his travels.
Mike groaned and disengaged.
“Not here,” Veronica gasped. Her grip on his hand was tight. “Sam might wake up.”
His mind struggled with coherency. Mike shoved to his feet, pulling her up with him. He started her back inside, linked to her with a handhold.
“Meet me in the family room.”

BayouBabe99er
BayouBabe99er (MF)
Mainstream Interracial Romance
$2.99
Blurb:
How many things can go wrong at one time?
That question plagues feisty divorcée Sharlene Mouton. The banking department she heads takes a trip overseas. She pounds the pavement—and the keyboard—with resumes for ninety-nine weeks. Going home to regroup lands her in the middle of an ecological disaster that threatens her rural Louisiana community. What else can happen? How about repeated run-ins with suave Drake Cormier, the oil company’s liaison officer.
Jobless, yet, not hopeless. Oil spill fiasco. Mouton-Cormier feud. Suitor not much older than her daughters.
Sharlene now wonders—how many wrongs make a right?
Scene:
Sharlene accepts a ride from Drake after her old truck breaks down in a torrential Louisiana thunderstorm. A misstep throws them down to the muddy, saturated ground.

His head peeped out at Sharlene, who now wore a cinched robe that did little to disguise her curvaceous, mature figure. Their eyes locked. Drake dropped his bundle at her feet. His rapid retreat put him in reach of the shower faucets.
When she heard the water running, Sharlene thought it best to put distance between them. The storm’s tempest was evident from her vantage in front of the window. Tree limbs bowed under the gale force winds. The howling sound invaded her space. Yet it wasn’t enough to eclipse the beating water from Drake’s shower.
Sharlene’s mind wandered where it didn’t belong. She absently walked over to retrieve his soiled clothes. The washer cranked up, the gush of cold water adding to the already noisy background. Maybe doing something with her hands would occupy her mind. So she moved on to the kitchen sink, turned on the cold water, washed her hands, and let it run while she emptied the coffee basket. She was in the process of rinsing the pot when the yowl went up in the bathroom.
She slapped the faucet off.
"What happened?" she screamed in alarm while rushing to Drake’s aid. Sharlene burst into the bathroom without knocking precisely the moment he slung the shower curtain aside.
Drake charged out in all his glory, visibly shaken and as red as a lobster on his right shoulder. "You tell me." He winced while grabbing at his injured arm.
"I don’t know." Sharlene had a difficult time keeping her eyes on his face and not his bare, bronzed body. Coming to her senses, she grabbed the robe at the same time his wits returned.
Drake snatched the bath towel to shield his naked body. "If I didn’t know better"—he wrapped it as he spoke—"I’d say your uncle tried to boil me alive."
Sharlene liked his teasing tone of voice. It helped lighten the mood.
"That looks pretty painful." She stepped nearer to finger the area. "We’d better put a cool towel on that right away."
There was no way around it. Sharlene’s soft touch ignited Drake’s fire. He made the rash decision to pull her into his arms. His hand traveled up her back to control the tilt of her head. His fingers slid through the softness of her curls.
Sharlene participated fully in the all-consuming kiss. Then realization struck. She pushed off, surprised at his crushing hold before he let go. She was engulfed by his smoky stare. "I need a bath first." The very idea she uttered "first" spoke volumes.

Only 5 hours left...

until the release of Corralling Dawn :) The third book in my Midnighter Seduction series.

An ancient portal quietly reopened the day the Mayan calendar ended, but it wasn't the "big bang" ending of the world as predicted. It has, however, changed everything for Dawn LaPorte.
Dawn has focused her life on taking care of the ranch her grandfather left her. A rash of strange cattle mutilations threatens her dreams and leads her straight into the arms of two men who have no intention of remaining here on Earth.
Keeping Dawn safe is the most important truth to Derechos and Storm as they try to finish their objective on her world. When she is almost killed by a pack of Kimil, they know they can’t wait any longer.
Her fury at being abducted is nothing compared to the threat she faces if she ever goes home again. But, forcing her to give up her dreams may cost them her love.

(Book 1, Claiming Destiny is currently $2.75, but only for a couple more days!!)

The entire series idea came to me late last year when everyone was talking about the Mayan calendar and the end of the world. We all woke up on December 21 and nothing had happened...there was no zombie apocalypse or Earth shattering asteroid hurtling towards us. Don't get me wrong, there was a part of me that breathed a sigh of relief. Not that I believed anything would happen...but I am wrong at times. LOL

But, it's that crazy author part of my brain that wondered...if the world didn't end what did happen?

What if a portal opened? Who came though? Where are they from? When were they here last? Why are they after the woman in our world? And most importantly...How many napkins to I have in my purse at the moment and it is enough to get all this written down? (I was sitting in a boring meeting at the time LOL)

These ancient warriors flooded my brain with their arrogant ways and sensual promises if I discovered who their Atans were, those women chosen by the gods for each pair of warriors. But how to attract hoards of woman to a remote part of New Mexico near the Pyramid mountains??? That is when they confided in me that part of their traditions is to attract their Atans by dancing for them. And WOW can these men dance. :)
They've made a temporary home in a club called Midnighter Seductions, (which happens to also hide the portal to their world.)

So if you're brave enough, come on down on ladies night, get yourself a "Frozen Orchid" and enjoy the show. But if you feel a tickle on the back of your neck like you're being watched, your world just might change forever.

Claiming Destiny  (Book 1)
Stealing Hope      (Book 2)
Corralling Dawn   (Book 3)

***Let's add a bit more excitement! At 11:59 Friday July 19th, I will choose a random name from everyone who comments on this post and they will receive one free copy of Stealing Hope.***

BRAY'S BOUNTY

Bray's Bounty Wolf Haven 3

AVAILABLE NOW!

[Siren Classic ManLove: Erotic Alternative Paranormal Romance, M/M, werewolves, HEA]

Sentry Bray Buchannan has known who his mate was for over six years. He had to watch as Lany was held prisoner by the Senate, unable to free his mate or even acknowledge the connection between the two of them. Now, if Bray can rescue Lany from the Sentries guarding him and reach Haven before they are caught, there might be a chance at freedom, a chance for the two of them to finally be mates.

Lany has waited forever for Bray to come for him. When he does, the fear of being caught is overshadowed by the simple touch of his mate’s hand. Lany would rather have an hour in the arms of his mate than a lifetime without him. And if they can’t reach Haven in time, he just might get his wish.

STORY EXCERPT
Frigid cold night air numbed his body and heightened his senses to a near hypervigilance. Bray Buchanan lifted his nose into the air and scented the breeze that blew gently through the night.
He carefully scanned the area around him as he moved silently through the forest, going from one tree to another, then to a pile of rocks and some bushes, whatever would hide him as he made his way toward the small cabin off in the distance.
Bray carefully slid around a large outcropping of rocks and pressed his body back against the cold hard stone of the cliff wall. He had learned early on when not to breath, when not to move a single muscle. He could even slow his pulse to almost nonexistent. It enabled him to blend easily with his surroundings.
No one would know he was coming until he was already there.
But someone knew.
Bray could feel it, sense it. There was a presence in the woods tonight, one that Bray believed was waiting for him to move and show himself. Bray almost laughed at the anticipation that sizzled along his skin.
It had been so long since he had faced anyone that had presented him with a true challenge. It was making the game boring. Bray itched to face someone that could truly be a threat—someone who could present him with a real challenge.
His senses had been honed to perfection by years of brutally intense training. Bray could sense the slightest of movements and detect the smallest sound. Scenting the presence of another in the air was child’s play for him.
There.
A tree branch snapped in the brush off to his left. It was a single twig, but it was enough to tell Bray that his pursuer was getting closer. A grin tilted up the side of his mouth as he turned, using his toned muscles to climb effortlessly up the side of the cliff wall he had been pressed against.
Bray moved with a stealth that was belied by his large stature. He moved like a creature not of this world—which made sense as he was not human by any means. He was Loup-Garou, a wolf-shifter.
He was also a Senate Sentry, trained to kill without remorse, to bring those that broke the law to justice, and enforce the rules set down by the Senate. His entire life had been geared toward serving the Loup-Garou Senate—from his training, which began at a very early age, to his mission tonight.
He had learned to live and breathe his duty…until tonight.
Every step he made was measured and sure as he made his way higher up the cliff and then into a small crevice. Bray crouched down low in the rocks and waited. The sun wasn’t due to rise for several more hours.
He could wait.
Patience was something he had learned years ago. He had been sent out on a hundred missions, most were more deadly than this one, but none more important. He would fight with every fiber of his being to stay alive and complete this mission, even if it meant becoming the prey to whatever was hunting him.
The flutter of a leaf became two then three. Then the bushes off to his left moved, and a small figure stepped out onto the edge of the small clearing. Bray stilled as he regarded the dark-haired man, noting the way he lifted his face into the breeze and sniffed at the air.
Omega.
If he had allowed himself movement, his lips would have curled up in a grin. The guy hunting him was good. Bray couldn’t help but admire his abilities as he sniffed the air then smiled, glancing in Bray’s direction. Bray saw the slight curve of an eyebrow and knew that while the man might know which direction he lay in wait, he didn’t know exactly where Bray was located.
Bray slowly lowered his hand, centimeter by centimeter, until he could reach the knife strapped to his thigh. There was going to be a battle. Bray could feel it in his bones. He would have to confront this man before he could continue with his mission.
As he watched the man move effortlessly across the meadow, he couldn’t help but be impressed by him. The guy moved with a grace that spoke of someone well used to their body and what it could do.
He might be a worthy adversary.
Bray slowed his breathing to a mere whisper. He didn’t move a single muscle when the man paused under the small ledge he was perched on. He inhaled slowly, deeply, scenting the air for any others.
The man was alone.
“I know you are here.” The man’s sweet voice rumbled through the night air, and yet it was almost silent at the same time as if he spoke but only to Bray. “I can smell you.”
Despite his rigid control, Bray’s lips twitched with the need to smile. He knew the man could smell him. He had known that for quite some time. But the guy still didn’t know exactly where Bray was hiding.
Bray’s fingers tightened around the hilt of the knife, and then he readied himself to drop down onto the man below. But as he squatted there, watching the smooth way the omega moved as he walked a few more steps, it was as if an unseen hand was keeping him rooted to the spot.
When the man’s head began to turn, Bray’s breath locked in his lungs.
Eyes as white as moonstones zeroed in on him, and a wicked smile turned up the side of the man’s gorgeous face. The tip of one of his canines shone brightly in the moonlight. “My, my, you are a handsome one, aren’t you?”
Pushing himself back into a crouch, Bray schooled his features. “Flattery will get your throat cut, omega.”
The man’s delicate hand reached up and rubbed at his long swan-like throat, but the amusement in his eyes told Bray that he wasn’t in the least bit concerned by the threat. “Come down from there, Sentry, and we’ll see who gets their throat cut.”
Bray snarled as he swung down with practiced ease, raising his knife into the air at the same time. The man was lightning quick. He dodged the attack as Bray landed in a crouch on the hard ground.
Bray’s head snapped up, eyes narrowing. The extensive training he had gone through since early childhood kicked in as he leapt toward the man. He moved in a circle, his knife clutched tightly in one hand, watching the omega’s every move.
“Don’t tempt me, omega,” he cautioned. As Bray looked into the man’s milky eyes, he saw the deep hunger and aching need in their white depths. An unfamiliar flutter rippled through his body. “Why are you hunting me? How did you know I was here?”
The man’s eyes turned stormy, almost swirling in different shades of white. His hands fisted at his sides. “This is my territory. Do you really think you can come here and I wouldn’t know?”
Bray gave him a smirk. “Yes.”
The omega bared his teeth. “Try again, Sentry.”
With lightning-fast moves that he didn’t see coming, Bray found himself on his back, his knife knocked away. The breath whooshed from his lungs, but Bray was on his feet again with his knife in hand before the man could do any more than damage his pride.
“You will pay for that, omega,” Bray ground out.
“Hmm,” the omega mused, light amusement lacing his tone as he cocked his dark eyebrow once again. “Foreplay?”

Wednesday's Words for July 17, 2013

This past Sunday, my husband and I celebrated our 41st wedding anniversary. We didn’t do anything different, or special that day—except we did exchange cards. Then I made him his usual Sunday breakfast while he watched Meet the Press. Afterwards, he turned off the television and headed out to paint his shed.

I washed the dishes and then headed to my keyboard. I’ve just submitted one novel, and have been working hard on the next one.

There were no fireworks, no flowers, no dinners out. Perhaps for some couples, every anniversary is a big deal. I learned long ago that my beloved doesn’t think that way, and really, that’s okay. We did have a huge dinner last year with relatives and friends, and we likely may have a bit of a to-do in nine more years.

This time, though, I think I’ll leave the planning of that event up to my family.

Sometimes, people will ask me how you make a marriage last for so many years. There have been various answers I have given from time to time. I won’t lie to you. Sometimes, if I know the person asking the question really well, I will chose a specific answer I think they need to hear. There really is a lot of work that goes into maintaining a marriage. There is no one magic bullet that will guarantee success. And whatever I do say in response to the question is always true.

Just recently I heard, for the first time, a song by Lee Brice called Love Like Crazy, and the words to that are spot on, too.

But really, I suppose, the best answer I can give to that question—how do you make a marriage last for so long—the most all encompassing answer I can give is quite simple and can be summed up in just two words: don’t quit.

I don’t know how it came to be that quitting seems to be something people do often and well these days. But quitting—unless you’re stopping a bad habit—is nothing more than capitulation. It’s saying “uncle” to whatever it is you’re walking away from. It’s saying that what you have been involved in is too difficult, too complicated, or too much effort for you. That what you’re walking away from is not worth the difficulty, complications or effort.

Quitting, unless it is quitting a bad habit, is in itself the worst habit you can have.

When you first get engaged, and then get married, you’re in a bit of an euphoric state, I think. Everything about your beloved seems wondrous and magical. And then, for most people, as the days and weeks and months and years progress, your relationship changes. Life happens. You have work and worry. You have challenges and crises. You have children! They bring with them a whole boat load of love and a whole new set of problems and pitfalls.

Sometimes, you suffer devastating losses.

You get older and more tired, your youthful glow becomes a middle-aged pallor, and you don’t always hear the violins anymore when you kiss.

In short, life happens, and life molds you, and it molds your love as well.

If you’re lucky, your love adapts and perseveres, maybe not being the candlelight and roses it was at the beginning of your relationship, but becoming what you need it to be, that bond that unites you as two who are one, steadfast together in the company of others. Fearless in the face of fickle fate because you have that one hand to cling to.

But that evolution won’t happen if you quit. So my advice to you, no matter how long you’ve been married, or what challenges you’re facing, is don’t quit.

Diamonds only become diamonds after enduring tremendous pressures without fracturing. Diamond wedding anniversaries are formed exactly the same way.

Love,
Morgan

Angelic Forecast ~ #254

'I have control of your jet.'

'Am I still in my body?' I ask telepathically.

'Yes. You are inside a protective bubble created by your Spirit.'

'Oh...you learn something everyday, don't you?' I respond with the first silly thought that enters my head.

Suddenly I'm floating downward inside my jet. A plain a pale sand surrounds me, and I recognize it immediately. It is atop our below ground base.

"Wow, what a trip," I murmur, as I gaze all around, assuring myself I am were I am.

I say that late sixties phrase because it's true. Because I need to hear the sound of my voice, no matter how inane or silly for the circumstance.

I need to feel human again.

Once my jet hums off, I stroke her above the minimal instrument panel like a cat. She likes that.

"Very ferocious," I praise.

"Yes, very ferocious," Dhuroth speaks through the com device.

ANGELIC FORECAST ~

Now, like a colossal, formidable serpent with prism brilliant scales, the true ancient past of humanity on Mother Earth, rears up. Not to be ignored.

Our real heritage must be known for humankind's revolution-evolution to quantum leap forward -- and, for the spiritual transformation that belongs to each one of us to fully unfold. In the long future we will be known as the 'golden human'.

On the magickal, mystical front, this week The 'Mages of Ages Lost' fiercely battle a towering, glowering dragon loosed upon humankind from ages past. This inter-dimensional beast represents the rage of a race who lost out to humanity for the right to live upon the young Earth.

As well, now magical ideas spring forth as much needed solutions to current-day problems. The real magic will be in using our combined will to bring forth these new bright realities in existence for the sake of ALL.

On the land changes front, To repeat from last week: "during the next three months Volcanoes spew massively worldwide, and new volcanoes rise beneath the oceans. This will ultimately begin a new cycle of weather.

This new cycle will be methodically interfered with by the dark-side's mad scientists in an attempt to stop Mother Earth from expanding, and improving life for ALL.

To counteract this brutal poisoning of the planet, the sun will loose more serpent-striking CMEs. These particle beams are meant to balance the yin and yang of the eco-sphere.

This coming week there will likely be more devastating, superstorm weather events, and more 'unexplained' sinkholes. As well, large earthquakes continue to shake, rattle, and roll along the ring of fire.

Within the next two weeks, a HUGE CHANGE event 'could' cause more population migrations."

Update: currently uncharacteristic massive flooding has and is causing evacuations on a large scale in China, and in other areas of the world. This will continue.

Also, look for some strange earthquake activity this week.

On the paranormal front, UFOS, CONTACT, this will remain the theme in the latter half of the year, 2013. Already well documented cases are being presented constantly to the public by numerous alternative news sites, by people who have been in the field for decades, and have solid reputations.

As well, in the coming months, some of the shapeshifter beasts of myths and legend will be exposed as being real, with documented proof beyond what is already in the public domain. However, this will only be known by those who follow cryptozoology sites/news/articles, since the lamestream media is owned lock, stock, and barrel by the fat cat dark-siders -- who are invested in keeping this hidden until 'they' want it known.

On the personal front, a strange up and down week for most of us. However, once again, good opportunities could be ready to shake your hand. Take a second look even with those possible opportunities that don't seem to be all that much. Because they could lead to what you're really searching for, what you truly want. As always, check in with your intuitive side.

Also, as has been stated before, changing your location could very well be in the cards. If not your home location but where you shop and do business. Take advantage of good local businesses whenever possible. This is partly because where the big box stores fail -- and this will develop like a rolling tide likely during the fall season -- many of the local shops will manage to stay open, especially if they have enough customer support.

On the economic front, WARNING: the plan to 'integrate by stealth' and bypass congressional approval is HERE! SOURCE: William F. Jasper, editor New American.com

This is a barrier week, and month, for the people to stand against this stealth attack. While BIG MEDIA DIVERSIONS are delivered one after another, the trillionaire, soulless money crowd completes their plans, in secret, for a trade and political merger of the EU with the US.

Essentially, this places both the EU and the US under a single governing body run by the banking technocrats, the same ones who have tanked the economy on purpose, stolen uncounted trillions from the people with the ponze-scheme derivatives market, and other piratical tricks of the trade -- all while demanding 'your' austerity.

From this point forward, there will be a tsunami of events that shudder through the worldwide banking system. Some of these tidal waves will be intentionally orchestrated. However, there will be HUGE significant shudders that are due to unintended consequences. Also, intervention by the Divine Force.

Once again: as always, keep an eagle eye on your bank account, and your pension, if you have them.

On the truth front, this week TRUTH becomes a strange beast, at once elusive and charging out in the open for all too see. This will be both in your personal life and in public. You may learn about family secrets that you never suspected.

Meanwhile, on the world stage scandal rocks several areas on the planet. However, what is revealed will also 'hide' galaxy-enormous scandals.

On the war front, chessboard moves and countermoves, there will be a whole series of moves coming this month between the various dark-side factions. The Middle East appears to blow apart at the seams, or appears to begin coming apart violently. However, some of this will be acts of deception on a grand scale.

Of bigger consequence for the following week, are other war theaters. North and South Korea are bubbling beneath the surface like an active caldera. African hot zones go hotter, with the mercenary troops getting the worst end of it.  And, likely Pakistan will flare up. This will not be expected by the dark-side powers that be.

Also, there *could be* a major unexpected event that will shock the world, and alter the above.

On the tyranny-at-work front, Chicago is currently being targeted as the next Detroit, to be gutted by the Bankster Gangsters, and brought down in ruins around the people. However, there are good forces at work that could avert some of the worst events.

Ultimately, this depends on the people. If they are willing to take back their city from the heights of corruption, and from the amoral, criminal mafia, much could be saved, and GOOD could be returned. Also, if those around the country stand with Chicagoans in reclaiming their city, the process will accelerate.

On the AWAKENING front, this week, the leviathan AWAKENING will be around the power of the people to work together. This will be subtle at first, but will firestorm around the world inspiring great uprisings for true freedom, economic prosperity, and justice. As is the right of every human being.

On the communication front, this time is an opportunity for GOOD people to come together and communicate at a whole new level. Now is the time to communicate about the *real enemies* of humankind: the new world order psychopaths who intend to make every race commonly dirt POOR under the guise of 'austerity'.

If we join hearts and minds, instead of being divided and diverted by the dark-side's diabolically cruel tactics, we the people will overcome, and shape a renaissance paradise for ALL.

On the home front, as the berserker-like seizure of land by gov agencies -- under the auspices of UN Agenda 21 -- escalates across the country, the people begin banding together to halt this insane criminality. Now, a wild west mentality develops, and many begin protecting each other by forming regional posses.

This will also ramp up along the borders as the independent-minded take back their land. At this point in time, biker gangs are challenging the cartel. HEADLINE: "Biker gangs moving into New Mexico 'Vagos' already challenging Bandidos for influence"

In the future, alliances between those of like-mind, those who love their land, will form regardless of race, color, or creed -- and regardless of which side of the border they live on.

On the food front, the war by gov agencies against American farmers hits high gear. Now the farming communities across the country join together, and battle back any way they are able.

HEADLINE: "SERIOUSLY! FARMER FACES $650,000 FINE FOR NEGLECTING TO 'SURRENDER' RAISINS TO GOVERNMENT"

HEADLINE: "Calif. Farmer Battles Feds Over Depression-Era Law Requiring Him to Turn Crop Over to Government"

HEADLINE: "State Demands $700,000 from Michigan Farm Family and the Destruction of 70 Farm Animals" ~activistpost.com/2013/07/state-demands-700000-from-michigan-farm.html~

HEADLINE: "Bessemer Farms calls it quits, says new farm rules too cumbersome"

On the energy front, BEWARE of upcoming power outages. This will be happening with more frequency across the country, and across the world where there are commercial energy grids. Do your best to prepare.

There are several reasons, one being the aging systems, and the refusal of the corp-gov to properly fix, then maintain infrastructure. However, another reason will be the changing stronger intensity of the sun, and the snake-tongue barrage of CMEs [coronal mass ejections].

On the really bad news front, the economy continues to be used as the global elite's favorite punching bag, all while they bring in the Beyond Big Brother State. Sooner rather than later, martial law may technically be coming to a street near you, and it will be far, far more sinister than the liberty-crushing travesty in Boston.

On the good news front, more than ever at this time, the dark force used by the global elite boomerangs, striking them instead of their target, humanity. This cannot be stated enough. It is key to winning the future back.

Also, even with the mass-media promoted racial divisiveness taking place, in general, the people come together and form much stronger communities. This, of course, depends on those of like mind and heart joining together, which is happening under the auspices of the Aquarian Age vibes.

On the global mafia cabal front, this week will be disastrous for the cabal. Their Middle East game plan will explode in all the wrong directions. White Hat Forces in Africa will put the kibosh on some of their heinous murderous operations, especially around mining gold.

While on track for their global takeover of Europe -- what the technocrats now call 'pooling sovereignty' -- a wrong turn takes place, likely near the end of the week, and possibly due to the actions of Italy.

On the heroine front, Roxy Lopez, host of "The Truth Denied" radio show at Revolution Radio ~freedomslips.com~ This week she heart-courageously brought forth the energy of MIRACLES because of her own need.

On the hero front, Staff Sargent Joseph Biggs, close friend of investigative reporter, Michael Hastings, who 'died on the cross of history' once he revealed the establishment's war against reporters, and vowed to fight back. Staff Sargent Biggs is standing by his friend by following every lead. He is determined to find out what happened, and who assassinated Michael Hastings.

On the freedom front, at this point in time, freedom from NSA spying, the determination to be free from Big-Brother Mafia RISES. Underground communities form that will eventually become deadly affective against the massive surveillance grid.

In the far future, the use of key cyber viruses will bring down any usable NSA grid. This will be worldwide.

In the meantime, as has been happening, more of the people turn their backs on the establishment. Essentially, they go their own way, create their lives anew. Underground innovation and invention becomes local, but spreads via secret networks that span the country, and the planet. This will be people helping people.

Trendwise, a new day dawns in accordance with the frequencies now inundating humanity and Mother Earth. Many of us will begin to feel renewed in subtle but noticeable ways, and not know why.

Out of this, our lives could take new directions. Or we could simply shift our way of being in how we live our life.

Also, despite the establishment-provoked race riots, the scandal-ridden chaos, the economic uncertainty, and the bread-circus events -- this week begins a critical trend toward a true, general AWARENESS of the *Medical* Industrial Complex.

That is, the killing-for-money field it is on all fronts -- this despite the good caring people involved.

What will also become obvious to many more now -- due to the ongoing 'exposure' of vaccines by The Brave Ones -- is that the BIG CORP MEDICAL system is about to become far, far worse in the very near future.

As has been stated before, look for alternative methods of healing. Specializing in natural cures will become a new underground career for many in the future.

This week bask and stroll in the sunlight whenever possible. Let yourself smile at the nature around you. Nature might smile back and surprise you.
