Come escape the cold with me

In HAWAII! For those of you who do not know, I lived in Hawaii for three years. Hubby was stationed at Hickam AFB and we had our second child there:) While I was not one for Island Life, I definitely had things I loved about the islands. And, so I decided to write some Menage Amours set there. Mele Kalikimaka, Baby and Sex on the Beach are the first two books of my Hawiian Holidays series. I am working on the third book which is set during Lei Day (we call it May Day on the Mainland).
Mele Kalikimaka, Baby is out now and Sex on the Beach is on preorder until tomorrow morning when it releases. So escape the cold December weather with a quick side trip to Hawaii;)
Oh, and come on over to my blog to vote for your favorite hero(s) from my books this year!

Mele Kalikimaka, Baby

Ménage Amour: Erotic Contemporary Ménage a Trois Romance, M/F/M, Interracial]

When Sophia Cantwell gets stuck working in Hawaii on Christmas, she isn't too happy. She doesn't like trying to buy land from a Hawaiian family, especially when she is convinced that her company isn't being ethical. When she is confronted at the airport by the landowner's grandsons, cousins Maleko and Jack Akaka, she doesn't expect the jolt of arousal or the instant attraction. And she doesn't expect them to insist that she stay at the family's condos.

Mal and Jack have shared women before and have thought about getting that one special woman for the two of them. Both of them are surprised that she turns out to be an uptight, corporate go-getter. But the three of them cannot ignore their attraction, and a night out in Honolulu turns into a night in bed for all of them.
But when Sophia's ex-lover and boss arrives unexpectedly, will she be able to walk away from her dreams of climbing the corporate ladder, or will she lose Mal and Jack?

Delilah's Downfall up for BOOK OF THE WEEK

Hey, everyone! I am proud to announce that my second Texas Temptations book is up for Book of the Week at Long and Short Reviews! Check out some of the great things Canterbury Bell said about it:

Delilah is a complicated woman. She has grown up under the black cloud of a reckless mother and very overprotective brothers. Although all the Bartlett brothers have a similar desire, they are all so different in personality and manner that it makes this exciting to read. They are opposite in many way but complement each other in their dedication to their ranch and their desire for one woman to love all of them. They are the ultimate cowboys, physically and the ultimate men emotionally. The story carries their mutual attraction so smoothly and resists what could be cliché.

She said even more great things so check it out! And, be sure to give me a vote if you like the review!

Delilah's Recipes: Crockpot Ribs

Ahh, it is Friday and my last day of posting. I have really had a great time sharing my recipes with all of you and I hope you enjoy them yourselves:) Now, we come to a Bartlett favorite, Spareribs. I will let all of you non-Texans in on a little secret: Barbque is a sauce, not an activity, lol. Actually, in Texas, it is almost a religion.
This is one of my favorite recipes to make in the fall and winter. It also works well in the summer  because you do most of your cooking in the crockpot so the kitchen doesn't get that hot. Also, this recipe serves 4-5 people, but I triple this because, well, these men eat A LOT and leftovers are very yummy. It also means I have to use more than one crockpot, lol.
If you do not like sauerkraut, don't worry. Just toss it out if no one in the family likes it--although I hate any waste of food. It gives the ribs such a wonderful flavor and is an easy way to make sure they are flavorful and tender.

Delilah's Crockpot Ribs
3 lbs of spareribs                           1 (16oz) sauerkraut, drained
1-2 t salt                                             1 apple, cored and diced
1/4 t pepper                                   1 T sugar

Preheat oven to 400 F. Cut spareribs into serving size pieces. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Place on a baking pan. Brown in over for 15 min then turn over and brown another 10-15 min. Pour off the fat. Spoon sauerkraut into bottom of the slow cooker. Top with apple, then sprinkle apple with sugar. Place ribs on top. Cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours or until the ribs are tender.
Heat oven to 400 or fire up the grill. Place ribs in a pan, or on the grill, cover with your favorite sauce. Cook for 10-15 min, basting with sauce frequently. Serve hot with exta sauce on the side.

Delilah's Recipes: Kahlua Brownies

Woo hoo! It's release day. Mel told me I wasn't allowed to share the rib recipe until tomorrow and had to share this. I've had this for years and not sure where I found it. It might even been on the Kahlua website. But since it is a celebration day, Mel said there had to be some kind of chocolate involved. And don't forget Mel is featuring cowboys all week.
Make sure to stop by to check out Delilah's Downfall and read it while you munch on these. They are very rich and delicious.

Kahlua Brownies
1 pkg Fudge brownie mix(like Betty Crocker)   6 T Kahlua
1/4 c veg oil                                                              1/2 c butter, room temp
1/4 c water                                                               2 c powdered sugar
3 large eggs                                                               3 T Kahlua
1 c chopped pecans                                                   6 oz semi sweet chocolate
                                                                                     4 T butter

Combine the brownie mix, oil, water, eggs, and pecans. Bake in greased 9 x 13 inch dish at 350 degrees F for 25-30 min. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with 6 tablesppons of Kahlua. Cool completely. Comine butter, powdered sugar, and 3 T of Kahlua. Spread evenly over cooled brownies. Refrigerate for at least an hour. Melt chocolate and butter in a med pan over low heat, stirring constantly. Spread over chilled brownies.

Delilah's Recipes: Killer Chicken Enchiladas

Hey, everyone! How is your week going? One more day and Mel's book Delilah's Downfall. She is super excited and driving her entire family insane with it. Don't forget, she's featuring the American cowboy all this week on her blog. And, in honor of Mel, I thought I would share her favorite TexMex food recipe. The Schroeders are from Texas if you didn't know. Les, her hubby, is a born and bred Texan who is in the Air Force right now. But, they have both spent most their lives in Texas. So, they eat a lot of TexMex food. Since they have been stationed places that sometimes lack authentic TexMex, Mel cooks even more when they are stationed outside of Texas.
Anyway, here is a recipe she adapted from several others she had. It is a family favorite. And that is saying something because getting her family to agree to something is like me trying to get all the Bartlett men to agree to one thing, lol.

Killer Chicken Enchiladas
3 cup of cooked shredded chicken    1 pt whipping cream
1/2 c diced onion                                  4 oz black olives
1 T olive oil                                            1 clove garlic, minced
4 oz diced green chilis                           black pepper to taste
1 pkg (10) large flour tortillas
1 lb shredded Montery Jack and Cheddar Cheese
8 oz cream cheese

Prehead oven to 350 F. Heat oil in large skillet. Saute onnion and garlic until onion is translucent. Add chicken and toss until heated through. On low heat, add cubes of cream cheeses then pepper. Stir. Add green chilies and mix thouroughly. Roll chicken mixture in flour tortillas, then place seam side down in 9x13 baking dish. Sprinkle cheese on top, then place olives on top of that. Pour whipping cream over enchiladas and back 30 min( uncovered) or until cheese is melted and cream is thickened.

Delilah's Recipes: Zesty Bread Spread

Hey, there, Delilah here from Melissa Schroeder's  Delilah's Downfall. Now, as Mel and my best bud India, from Conquering India, knows, I like to keep things simple. Sure, every now and then I like to throw together a meal that makes my men's eyes fall out, but on a working ranch, it is usually easier to keep it simple most the time.
These are hard working men who eat a lot, and I do mean a lot, of food. I like to have something sitting out when they come in so they don't bug me while I'm putting the finishing touches on the meal. One thing they love is my bread spread. It goes well on bread, crackers and even fresh veggies. If I can get Shane to eat celery, I have achieved greatness, lol. I usually make at least a couple flavors, because with four men, they all have different tastes. I tend to use Good Seasonings dressing mix(Italian, Zesty Italian or Garlic and Herb), but a lot of times I grab some Hidden Vallen Ranch because Mason's favorite is Ranch.

Again, Mel is featuring COWBOYS all week on her blog. Stop on by and  enjoy it:)

Zesty Bread Spread
1 80z package cream cheese softened
1 cup mayo
1 package of dried dressing mix

Mix all the ingredients together, then cover and place in the fridge until ready to serve. Usually does best if you let it sit in the fridge for an hour or two so the flavors can blend.

Variation: Sub milk for mayo and serve with veggies as a dip.

Delilah's Recipes: Strawberry Lemonade

Hey, everyone! This is Delilah here from Mel's book, Delilah's Downfall. In case you didn't know, I am a chef. Well, more like a glorified cook now that I work at the Bartlett Ranch, but I am loving it. There is something so satifying about cooking for four men.

Anyway, this week, Mel asked me to share my favorite recipes with you all. These are recipes I have picked up throughout the years and adapted them to my own tastes. I hope you enjoy them.

Oh, and make sure that you go by Mel's Blog. She is featuring the American cowboy this week.
Strawberry Lemonade
20 servings
1 3/4 cups pure cane white sugar
8 cups water
1 1/2 cups lemon juice
1 pt of crushed strawberries (optional)

1.In a small saucepan, combine sugar and 1 cup water. Bring to boil and stir to dissolve sugar. Cool to room temp and then chill in refrigerator.

2.Remove seeds from lemon juice, but leave pulp. In pitcher, stir together chilled syrup, lemon juice and remaining 7 cups water.

At this point you could serve it, or toss in the pint of crushed strawberries. Enjoy!

[Ménage Amour: Erotic Cowboy Ménage a Quatre Romance, F/M/M/M, bondage, sex toys, Interracial]

Delilah Gonzales loves cowboys. She has from very early in her life. But, those in her hometown didn't show much interest, or respect, so she has sworn them off. Plus, she always seems to fall head over heels for them and they always seem to leave. That's before she gets hired as the Bartlett Ranch's cook and housekeeper. When she is faced with not one, but four, gorgeous brothers, she finds herself reevaluating her cowboy ban.

The Bartlett Brothers have been looking for a woman for all them. They each have different needs, wants, and Delilah seems to be the one to fill them all. It doesn't take long before they have her in their bed. But, when she is faced with choosing them over her family, will she stand up to her overbearing brothers, or leave the brothers with broken hearts?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Can I help you?”
The deep, rich male voice sent a wave of heat down her spine. She couldn’t clearly see the person who had spoken. He was just a dark figure on the porch. Her city-girl instincts kicked in, and she slipped her hand back to the car door handle—just in case.
“My name is Delilah Gonzales. I’m the new cook for the Bartlett Ranch.”
A beat of silence, then a sigh. “It figures.”
Hard boots slammed against the steps as he came into view. In the orange glow of the lamp above, she could make out the features of the man. Oh, Lordy. Short golden brown hair, a hard jaw, and the most amazing mouth she had ever seen on a man. Full and sensuous…it was hard not to stare. But she forced her gaze to travel down his body, and it was a long trip. A white T-shirt was tucked neatly into worn jeans that hugged his lean hips. By the time she met his deep blue-green eyes, little bursts of heat flowed through her blood.
“Are you Shane Bartlett?”
He shook his head, and she felt a twinge of disappointment. Even when she had interviewed over the phone, she had felt some kind of connection to her new employer. With her reaction to this man, she hoped they were one and the same.
“I’m his brother, Mason.”
“Brother?” Then she remembered her conversation with Shane. “Oh, he mentioned it was a family-run ranch.”
“If you stick around, you’ll find out that Shane is usually light on details when it suits him.”
A sinking feeling enveloped her. “There is a job, isn’t there? I have a contract.”
There had to be a job. She had given up a very lucrative position in San Antonio to move closer to her family. And she had needed a change of scenery. This seemed like the perfect option.
“Yes, there is. But I have a feeling ranch life is something you aren’t looking for.”
She straightened her spine. “I can assure you, Mr. Bartlett, I can handle life out in the wilds of West Texas.”
His lips twitched, and some of his stiffness drained. “I bet you can. But putting up with my brother is a full-time job.”
She opened her mouth to ask what he meant when another deep, resonate voice interrupted her. “Are you already spreading lies about me, big brother?”
She turned her head in the direction of the voice and just about swallowed her tongue for the second time that day. Of the same build, broad in the shoulders, lean in the waist, and with the same blue-green eyes, Shane’s resemblance to his brother stopped there. Long, straight, light blond hair cascaded over his shoulders and ended somewhere in the vicinity of what she was sure was a very fine ass.
“No. I was telling her what a pain in the ass you are.”
Shane tossed his brother an amused look, then smiled at her. Holy moley! The flash of white in the darkness, and a chin dimple to boot. Delilah curled her toes inside her shoes.
“I assume you are Delilah Gonzales.”
Her brain scrambled the moment she heard him speak her name. She cleared her throat. “Yes. From what I gather, you’re Shane Bartlett.”
He jogged down the steps and stepped neatly in front of his brother. With long-practiced ease, he took her hand, then pressed the palm of his other on top of it. The rough calluses on his palms told her this was not a vanity ranch: these men ran their own ranch.
“I am. I was getting a bit worried about you since I expected you earlier today.”
“I took a wrong turn a ways back.”
She would have explained that her GPS system had taken her the wrong way, but her legendary concentration dissolved at his touch, at the way his fingers slipped over her sensitive flesh.
“I thought you were from around here.”
She didn’t respond right away. He cocked his head to the side and watched her. It was then she realized that she would never be able to think straight with him touching her.
She pulled her hand away, and she could tell by the twinkle in his eye he knew exactly why she had done it.
