As rapidly as possible, in a barrage of crisscrossing beams, the other fighters break off, following my lion man's lead. Almost humorously, the shafts of destructive light strike a few of the dark globes. But darn the luck, none of them are seriously damaged by their own weaponry.
In a flurry of flight that looks like marbles rearranging themselves, the enemy spheres attempt to reverse direction. Simultaneously, Dhuroth's squadron forms an attack wedge.
The scene before me looks like a game of space chicken as my lion man leads the attack and the dark spheres hurtle toward them. No fire has been exchanged. Sitting on the edge of my seat, I hold my breath. And pray.
Flashes of knife light as it's called, pulse from the twenty death spheres. These light daggers penetrate nearly every type of material causing Swiss cheese like holes to form.
In the following seconds, Dhuroth's wedge of ten fighters switch to invisibility, a new defense system. On my monitoring screen I only see their outlines.
Moments before the knife light strikes, my lion man and his squad dive below the volley attack. At blink-of-the-eye speed, the fighters are behind the spheres, and firing.

Also, the mystical matrix is being revealed, as opposed to the dark matrix conjured by the Viper elite magicians. This is a crystalline matrix designed to enhance every good thought, every good idea, and every action taken toward GOOD.
