Rock Hard Release Day!

Dear Readers,

It’s Release Day for Rock Hard, the first book in the Rock Stars series!  The book is available through Siren-Bookstrand Publishing at:  Rock Hard by A K Kinley.  Both story and adult excerpts (content for mature readers only) are available at the same link.

The rock bands of the 80s were a special time in music history, full of big hair, makeup, flamboyant clothing, power ballads, drama, and sexuality. In being able to recreate that excitement within the pages ofRock Hard, I not only brought the boys to life as a stereotypical glam band, but I sought to define their private lives within the popular genre of ManLove.

Adam Cole, David (Deuce) Cole, L.T. Jamison, and Jamie Cain, members of an ’80s-style glam band, Rock Hard, are struggling with Deuce’s alcohol addiction. The substance abuse is not only threatening the band’s success, but the marriages that he shares with each man. The closeness and sense of family that the band has experienced with Deuce has now turned into dysfunctional chaos.

So when band physician, Dr. Zane Foster, discusses an agreement with the group, front man Adam Cole cannot refuse. After all, it has to be out of love that Adam would agree to such a deal. Not only is Deuce struggling with his own secrets, drinking most days to the point of intoxication, but Adam reveals a hidden attraction that only adds to the tension building within the band.

Rock Hard explores intimacy, unconditional love, and trust in the face of emotional heartbreak.

I have also created a Pinterest board titled, Rock Hard Extras.  The board contains inspirational photos for the boys of Rock Hard in addition to pinned images of their musical instruments, lavish home and furnishings, and the rings that Adam gives each of partners.

Life With Baby Doll: Rescued by an Angel

In 1991, my path crossed again with Baby Doll.  He was the midnight angel to a soul headed down a path of self-destruction.  The first five minutes spent with John, twenty-two years ago, convinced me that he understood me better than any person ever had, or could. When someone walks into your life and pulls you out of a hell,  it is  hard not to feel that you’ve been rescued by an angel.  The mutual peace and passion cannot be forgot.  Everyone deserves at least one angel, don’t you think?
