Welcome to THE ALPHA LEGEND... an erotic MFM menage series featuring cougar, leopard, and jaguar shifters, consensual BDSM, and an HEA in every book.

BLURB for PROTECTED BY TWO JAGUARS:

When jaguar shifter Valerie Bellecote witnesses her father and uncle murder a woman for taking a leopard for a mate, she runs away. She’s given shelter in Jargonian village, and is smitten with brothers Micah and Stephen Jargonian. But Valerie’s sense of safety is shattered when her father finds her and tries to kill her.

After Abby, the woman who gave Valerie shelter in her home, is killed by Valerie’s father, Micah and Stephen embark on a mission to trap him and block the magic he is using to evade capture by the jaguars. Can they stop him in time, or will they lose the only woman they have ever loved?

A Thanksgiving Season of Love

medium_4014605524
I have considered John Jericho and I committed partners since August 25, 1991. However, the official date  for defining our exclusive romance as a married couple was March 21st of the following year.  On this, our twenty-second Thanksgiving together, I find myself wondering where the years have disappeared.  I don’t believe they are gone, but held within my heart, as memories of each holiday season serves to remind me exactly what I am thankful for.
In remembering Thanksgiving nineteen ninety-one, I was barely a young man of eighteen.   John was twenty-six, and everything that I desired in a gay male. Right before the start of the holiday season, Baby Doll and I moved into our first home together.  I believe we were already committed then.  That had been a certainty since our first kiss.  However, it would take us another seven months to experience sexual intimacy together.  During that time we kissed, cuddled, and slept in the same bed as romantic friends.  Eventually, evolving into passionate lovers.
On our first Thanksgiving together John opened his heart, as I listened to hurts he had suffered at the hands of another gay man.   I came to my own conclusions about his abusive lover, deciding that he knew nothing about how to satisfy a flamboyant gay man in a top / bottom dynamic.  From the early moments of our relationship, it was an unspoken bond that I would be John’s protector, his provider, and his top as I’ve loved him both emotionally and physically since with a tender dominance.
Each year on Thanksgiving, my mind returns to that night twenty-two years ago, as I remember John falling asleep in my arms.  While he slept, I laid awake for a long time, experiencing a Thanksgiving revelation of my own.
Baby Doll had told me that he was thankful for my ability to see into his heart.  I in turn replied that I was grateful he had saved mine. For those who doubt that an individual can be consumed, washed in a moments’ breathe, with a love that defies all reason, I can say that I hold a piece of that Heaven in my arms every night.  When someone walks into your life and pulls you out of a hell,  it is  hard not to feel that you’ve been rescued by an angel.  My path crossed with John two days before my planned suicide.  I was transformed from a suicidal transman, into the FTM (female-to-male) that I am today, because of his love.
While many Thanksgivings have passed since that romantic night, there has been much for both John and I to be thankful for.  Together we have two beautiful children and many supportive friends and family.  I know that the most important gifts in life are the ones that cannot be materialized or purchased, but those felt with the heart.  Love is an incredible emotion, defined and felt in many facets.  During this holiday season, I am most thankful for having known love.
John Jericho and I would like to wish everyone a  Happy Thanksgiving.

Wednesday's Words for November 27, 2013

I’m nothing special. I was given some talent to string words together, and I have been blessed to have this second career. I’ve worked for it, of course. It wasn’t just handed to me.

When I came out of the hospital on Christmas Eve in 2002 after my triple by-pass surgery, I was terrified that at the ripe young age of 48 I would be staring at decades ahead filled with nothing to do. Anyone who knows me, knows that it’s very rare for me to sit idle. I have to keep busy, keep doing. It’s just the way I’m wired.

I feel so very thankful for so many things. I thought I would share some of those things with you, as some of you are about to celebrate Thanksgiving.

With this new career I’ve embarked upon, has come new friends. I am so very grateful for the professional connections I have made. I’ve been a writer down to my toes all of my life. And all of my life, making friends was tough because I was such an odd duck. People didn’t get me and I sure as heck didn’t get them. I found women particularly mystifying. I’ve never liked to shop, fuss with hair or makeup, gossip about boys—or anything else for that matter. And shoes? They really don’t turn me on at all. I suppose that last really is a blessing because as crippled as I am with arthritis, I’m not missing out on anything by not having the latest fashion on my feet.

But now I have friends who understand me. Friends who know what I mean, because they have been there—artistically speaking. Just a few words exchanged via Skype in the middle of a busy day, and I am grounded, comforted and understood. I finally can say I have people in my life with whom I get to enjoy real a sense of belonging.

I’m grateful to have so very many readers—readers who are also friends! Nothing touches me more profoundly than when a reader reaches out, and sends me a few words via e-mail. I’m always very humbled when I read that my words have helped—whether they helped the reader with something in life, or gave them a sense of camaraderie, or just gave them a couple hours of escape from a hectic, difficult life. I can be pretty stoic most days, but when I read those messages from my readers, my heart fills with gratitude and quite often, my eyes fill with tears.

I grateful for my husband of nearly 42 years. Neither one of us, nor our marriage, is perfect. But we are still together, and still friends, and that’s something. My beloved is a good man. He’s overcome many challenges in his life. Most significantly I can say he is 31 years sober. I’m proud of him.

I’m grateful for my children, and my grandchildren and one great grandchild. Yes, we suffered the loss of our middle child, our second son. But we had him for 29 years, and I hold him in my heart, and see him in the two beautiful children he left behind.

I’m grateful to live in Canada, a country free from anarchy. I don’t go to bed at night and fear what may be hiding in the darkness. I don’t need to worry about whether or not bombs will fall, or soldiers will overrun my town.

Though I have had some health challenges, I’m still well enough to plan ahead. We none of us know how much time we have in this life, but I’m grateful for every sunrise I get. And do you know what? I like being grateful for every sunrise I get.

We all have much for which we can and should say thank you—not just on Thanksgiving, but on every day. I believe that an attitude of gratitude enriches us, bringing out the best and the fullest not only in us, but also in every moment, and every relationship.

Gratitude is like a little added dash of nutmeg to the eggnog of life.

On behalf of our entire family, Mr. Ashbury and I wish you all a very happy, healthy and safe Thanksgiving!

Love,
Morgan

Angelic Forecast ~ #273

The planet-killing device has been successfully bombarded with ion particles over many days, and now defuses. My jet and I, along with other pilots, have flown round the clock missions for a week of Mar's time, gathering info, then precisely beaming rays into the center of the death-star like tech.

The energies will take many more days to dissipate fully. Meanwhile the internal smoldering from radiant fires must be monitored.

"Sh’raka," my lion man speaks from the com unit, "watch your six. Enemy bullet-drones have been released."

The bare instant Dhuroth finishes speaking, my jet flashes the incoming attack on-screen. As I prepare the weapons array, she sharply banks, then streaks toward the swarm.

Faster and faster we fly as I target the lead bullet-drone. One strike, one true shot and it will burst into nano fragments destroying most of the swarm.

A prayer on my lips, I fire the ultra-thin beam. Before the hit, I am ready to blast swathes through the glittery metallic swarm.

"Direct hit," my lion man intones.

Also, do not suffer fools this week in particular. For, they are dangerous to your well-being.

On the paranormal front, this week EXTREME goes even more extreme in the paranormal/supernatural world. Ghosts keep coming out of the closet. UFO-swarms are already occurring throughout the country, and the world. Now, there will be an increase in sightings, and thus even more reports.

Most important, those on the Other Side, as it's known, will be reaching out beyond the veil to help loved ones. The time has come.

On the land changes front, the following month will likely feature more serious volcanic eruptions and continued earthquake swarms. Of highest importance, the natural electrical field ramps up, causing superstorms that will involve the ocean. Also, some people will begin to notice the effects of this field as it charges the ground.

Life With Baby Doll: A Gay Man’s Love Runs Deeper

WARNING:  The links contained within this post will take you to sites with content for mature readers only.  However, this post is suitable for a PG audience.

medium_517310052
This week’s Life With Baby Doll post is a follow-up to an installment that I wrote on November 10th titled,  A Gay Man’s Love.
Tomorrow morning, November 25th, I will once again be giving Baby Doll into the hands of another man, having to trust that he will care for my partner.  That man is the same ophthalmologist who will be performing cataract surgery on John’s left eye.
The cataract surgery John underwent on his right eye, November 11th, was considered a success.  At his follow-up appointment, one day post-op, his eyesight had improved by sixty percent.  We were told that as the healing process continued, so would a clarity in his vision.
While I feel more confident in the fact that we both know what to expect, I am still experiencing the same nervous apprehension that I had two weeks ago.  Regardless of how many times John goes under the knife, even for routine procedures, I know I will always feel the same.  My emotions are manifested in the deep love that Baby Doll and I share, and the other health conditions that my partner struggles with.
One thing I have always tried to do is humanize myself with my readers. Recently, John and I had a conversation with a family member.  We were casually discussing Baby Doll’s cataract surgery success, and they could not fathom everything we had been through as a couple since May of this past year.  I was specifically asked how I had remained strong, given everything that I had watched my partner experience.  This individual said they didn’t know if they could  have handled the circumstances that John and I shared, and still remained sane.
To briefly describe Baby Doll’s heath issues since May, he continues to struggle with a diagnosis of unspecified auto-immune disorder, and the ongoing nerve damage in his neck, arms, fingers, and lower back due to a fall in 2000.  In addition, he has psoriasis over ten percent of his body, that recently led to a new diagnosis of suspected psoriatic arthritis.  His doctor’s are not sure, but theorize that the auto-immune disorder was responsible for reducing his kidney function to less than sixty-percent this summer.  As a result, he had to undergo hemodialysis four days per week.  Also in June, he developed a severe mouth infection, believed to be a rare side effect of the nephrology drugs he was taking.  John had to have all of his teeth extracted and started to wear his new dentures in late October.  During this time, his eye sight began to fail as cataracts in both eyes had reached stage 4.  Finally, while Baby Doll is on the road to recovery with his kidneys (barring another flare), his dental heath, and vision, he still suffers from the chronic conditions of the auto-immune disorder and nerve damage.
In responding to the family member, I mentioned the deep emotional and physical bonds that John and I share.  We’ve always been each other’s strengths.  While I am the more dominant one in our relationship, I will admit that I do have a few weaknesses. In those moments, John has always be there for me.  So now my readers may ask, why has a protector, provider, and top such as yourself  found yourself in situations where you needed rescuing?  My flamboyant gay baby has rescued me more than once.  How often?  Well, I’ll just keep those numbers a secret, as I wouldn’t want to destroy my top status.
This summer, and currently, as Baby Doll has looked to me for comfort and strength, I realized just how deep a gay man’s love can run for his partner. After twenty-two years together, I didn’t think it was possible to reach any deeper level of commitment.  Yes, it is possible.  John and I  are so intermingled emotionally, sexually, and spiritually, that  the only description I can write is one of a feeling of coming home.
As always, I usually try to plan something special for the two of us before any emotionally taxing event.  John has come to expect this, and seeing his excitement in the last few days has been very erotic for me.  His subtle flirts convey his unspoken need to feel my touch. All I have told him is that we are having an early dinner tonight.  That turned into the brief conversation that we shared this morning.
****
Why an early dinner?  Baby Doll asked.

“John, you know why.  I’m taking you somewhere private to make love to you.  What I’ve got planned involves a bed, your body beneath mine, and our hearts joined.”

“Andrew, are you using lines again from your stories to try and make me submit to you?”

“Yes, I am.”

Lying in bed cuddled close, I kissed John’s neck, as I stroked his shoulder with my fingertips.

“Why do you have to feel so good…taste sweet…and make my love run this deep for you?  Hmm, Baby Doll?”

“Do you not enjoy it?”

“No, I enjoy it too much, that’s the problem.  Being with you, John, is like coming home.”
****
Be sure to read next week’s post, as I talk about where John and I are going tonight, and share in the intense and passionate love affair that has formed the basis for this series.
To learn more about this series and find a recent list of archives visit:  Life With Baby Doll.  More will be added, as I continue to update this new site. Due to the increasing popularity of these posts, I have created the permanent tab on my Website that contains information concerning the intense and passionate love affair that I share with my partner, John Jericho.
I enjoy hearing from all of my readers, and look forward to your e-mails.  Remember Love is Love…Period.

Wednesday's Words for November 20, 2013

Often life is a dance—a three-step, where you take two steps forward, then one step back. I’ve been trying to think how many people I have met in my life to date: I don’t have an exact number but I do know it’s in the thousands.

I’m still waiting to meet the person whose life is so charmed they have no crises or challenges or issues to deal with, ever.

I am a person who has had many of the above, and what I have learned is this. When we do have these crises, these challenges that spring seemingly from nowhere, there are almost always two things that can be said about them. The first is that they didn’t really spring from nowhere. If you look back far enough, you can see a root cause, an action taken or not taken that contributed to the situation you are now in. And the second is that every challenge is an opportunity in disguise. It’s an opportunity for you to grow as a person.

I can recall our being so broke that every single day began with the prayer, “Lord, please do not let anything go wrong today”. Fortunately for us, God’s answer most days was, “okay”. But there were a few, “no, you need this bump. There’s something I want you to learn.”

Last Thursday, when I was sitting at my computer, in the peace and quiet of an empty house, I noticed that the inside temperature wasn’t quite what it should be. I don’t mind donning a sweater, and I often do just that before I will ever turn up the thermostat. But on this occasion I looked at my thermostat. It was set pretty high, probably over 80, but the temperature inside registered just barely 65.

I couldn’t recall when the furnace had come on last, so I listened as I went back to my writing. I heard it come on, run for about a minute or so, and then go off. My first thought was that the thermostat wasn’t working right. And then, when I smelled a funny odor that reminded me of exhaust, I realized that maybe, there might be something else not right.

On Friday when I brought my husband home from the airport (his flight came in at 0630), we had breakfast and then a nap. The furnace came on and yes, that odor was still present. I asked David about it and he told me that he didn’t really know anything about the furnace. So when I got up again, I contacted the company from whom we bought the appliance. We rent our hot water heater from them, and have a service contract on the furnace, as well. It was late when I left the message.

The next morning I got a call from them asking me to open a window for cross ventilation, and telling me they were alerting the gas company. Good thing they did. I never thought about a carbon monoxide leak, because I know that gas is odorless; however, apparently sometimes when a furnace leaks that toxic material, there are other substances in the emission, too, and those substances stink. Again, lucky for us.

Also lucky for us, our house is nowhere near air tight.

The gas company turned off the furnace, and the repair man showed up. It took him a while but he discovered that the secondary heat exchanger was shot. The part had to be ordered, and so we would be without heat until Tuesday. Good news? We bought this furnace 10 years ago and major parts are covered under the 25 year warranty we had. Bad news? The labor isn’t covered, and that was going to run us over a thousand dollars.

Ouch. But unlike when we were starting out in life, saying that daily prayer, we’re a little smarter financially than we used to be. And while that chunk of change does hurt, it’s not panic time. And because it is not panic time, we don’t have the added stress of wondering how the hell we’re going to manage to pay that repair bill.

We could pay it, and we did, and as of 4 pm yesterday afternoon, the furnace is back at work, keeping us warm.

Another challenge faced and this time met successfully. But only because, in times past, some challenges that we faced, and struggled with, did not end in success, but in failure.

And we learned, and we grew.

Love,
Morgan

Angelic Forecast ~ #272

"Sh’raka," he rasps against my mouth, then nuzzles my lips seductively.

My lion man wraps his huge strong arms around me and brings me against him. Lowering himself to the bed, he rolls me on top of him.

"Precious woman," he rumbles barely above a growl. Our gazes meet, our souls flare into each other, and love becomes a fiery heat between us.

***

Time ceases around me as I watch streaks of plasma lightning streak upward in a show far surpassing any fireworks display I'd ever seen. Slowly, I fly my sentient jet around the mammoth-sized volcano, all while I hear Duroth's words inside my mind... "a doomsday device has been planted inside one of our largest volcanoes. It has been fused to the rock."

The planet-killing device has been successfully bombarded with ion particles over many days, and now defuses. My jet and I, along with other pilots, have flown round the clock missions for a week of Mar's time, gathering info, then precisely beaming rays into the center of the death-star like tech.

ANGELIC FORECAST ~

Now... Great White Whirlpools of Good Are Transversing the Planet

The time has come to tornadically destroy the black-shrouding sorcery of the evil ones -- once and for all. And so it begins, the final battle between the GOOD forces and the dark-side forces. This chaos-fierce crescendo will likely last through the year, 2014.

Prepare mentally and physically.

On the land changes front, amidst this cosmic epic battle, Earth shudders time and time again. Volcanic activity only increases, and 'unknown' volcanoes awaken -- 'possibly' two in Arkansas.

HEADLINE-SNIPPET: "Scientists find new volcano rumbling under Antarctica ice: 1,370 tremors: 'It may blow or it may not. We don’t know.'"

Huge earthquake swarms continue, and become bigger and badder -- with major earthquakes likely happening within the next few months. More killer superstorms will rage over the surface of the planet, while ferocious windstorms sweep across Mother Earth ravaging population centers as never before.

This week, the Great Lion Star, the sun, blasts out new forms of particle energy. This is meant to help Earth in her transformation, to assist humanity in transforming into new AWAKE beings -- as well as transform the animals and plants into greater beings.

From a prior forecast: "Meanwhile, the sun, the Great Lion Star, goes into vibrational chaos, snaking 'coronal mass ejections'. Essentially the sun has been poisoned by cosmic-particle events far, far away... and by the transit of several celestial bodies that are currently being hidden from the public.

This solar chaos is being mitigated by the Benevolent Force. However, if the sun's energies become too unbalanced, the Earth 'could' be hit by dangerous CMEs. One forewarning would be the gov-elite evacuation of D.C., and another vacation far from the white house."

On the magickal, mystical front, this week the 'Mages of Ages Lost' brighten their lightblades, then swing like terrible whirlwinds through the black evil clouds of sorcery. With ever more force, they cut away the diabolical horror that has enslaved humankind for centuries.

Notice too, the magic moments appearing like diamonds during the course of your week. They might be only tiny glints, but keep an eye out. This is the emergence of a new way of life for humanity.

On the personal front, this week could be a tough one in several ways. However, whatever occurs will likely dissipate quickly. Use the wisdom learned and earned during your life to overcome, or work your way through.

Also, out-of-the-box career/business opportunities will surface at this time. As the old ways of earning a living crash, seek out the emerging, community-based opportunities that will bypass the establishment. Whenever possible.

On the paranormal front, another big week for UFOs sightings. That is, for those who are avidly paying attention to the crowded skies. Plus, 'contact' of various types, grows -- with many more talking about their years of contact, or their recent contact, that has occurred with otherworldly beings, extraterrestrials, and supernaturals.

As well, the Big Foot clans keep offering more clues as to who they are, and why they now 'expose' their presence. Also, in the near future: representatives of the advanced, ancient remnant populations on Earth will slowly come out of hiding. However, they will only make contact with those who welcome them, and who are able to emotionally accept this type of reality.

Also this week, look out for some *high strangeness* happenings!

Life With Baby Doll: In High Demand

WARNING:  The links contained within this post will take you to sites with content for mature readers only.  However, this post is suitable for a PG audience.

medium_4275974901From the first moment that I began to notice boys romantically, somewhere around twelve or thirteen, I was always attracted to the more sweet, slender build, and effeminate types of males.  At that point, I identified as a boy who wanted to kiss other boys.  The process of  learning more about who I was, with defined terms associated with gender identity and sexual orientation, did not occur until high school.  I talk more about this in my coming out story.
One thing I did notice, at the age of seventeen, was that there was a lack of openly gay men in Arkansas.  If an individual was looking for a specific type of gay male, the odds were even less favorable.  I desired a flamboyant twink for not only a romantic relationship, but to share my life with in a committed partnership.
So when my path crossed with Baby Doll, the summer before I turned eighteen, I was not only physically attracted to him, but falling madly in love.  The type of gay male I desired:  sweet, campy, flamboyant, and with such an undeniably homosexual vibe walked into my heart and left an overwhelming need to protect and provide for him as his lover. From the beginning of our relationship, I knew that John was the type of gay male that I had always desired.  The dynamic of my masculinity, paired with Baby Doll’s flamboyance, is what we continue to share today.
There are many definitions for a twink.  The one I like best is from Wikipedia, because it does not list any age groups, or specific hair or eye colors.
“Twink is a gay slang term describing a young or young-looking man with a slender, ectomorph build, little or no body hair, and no facial hair.”
With that definition being presented, Baby Doll always has been, and continues to be, my flamboyant twink.  Perhaps, that’s why I feel that gay men like him are in high demand.  Even though the term is a part of gay slang / lingo, I use it as an endearment, with the utmost love and respect for my partner.  John will turn forty-nine in a few months, but never has, and continues to not look his age.  He has a slender build, and keeps his body soft and smooth. Everything about his physique and personality warms a romantic fire through my heart, and builds a smoldering inferno of desire in my body.
A few weeks ago, Baby Doll and I had plans for a dinner date together. When he emerged from our bedroom, I found my thoughts slamming together like a pile up on an interstate.  John had asked me a question, and it took me a few minutes to formulate an answer.  He knew better than to parade himself in front of his top dressed in the manner he was.  I was the only one to blame however, I bought him the outfit he was wearing.  A baby doll in a purple shirt, tight skinny jeans, and a pair of sneakers was in really high demand with the gay transman who couldn’t keep his eyes off  his partner for the rest of the evening.  Baby Doll didn’t wear those clothes long that night.
Throughout our history together, John has been on the receiving end of quite a few compliments.  The following brief conversation took place recently while were in the waiting room of a doctor’s office.
Strange Man:  "Lord have mercy!  The Lord must have loved you!"

John:   "My partner is not going to be happy that you said that."

Myself:  "I’m happy, because I’m the one that he gets to go home with."
The above conversation is just one of the many reasons why I feel lucky to have the opportunity to love and care for Baby Doll. Perhaps that’s why John likes to remind me that he is, “high maintenance.”  I don’t feel that way at all, I love and desire everything that my flamboyant twink has to offer.

[BookStrand Historical Romance]

Ancient Egypt, 1560 B.C.

Ruling Upper Egypt from Thebes, Pharaoh Sekenenre has many enemies. Aweserre, whose grandfather seized the crown of Lower Egypt. Kamose and Ahhotpe, his son and daughter, who plot to rule in his place. And, most dangerous, the storm-god Set.

It is a time of famine. To prosper a man must be civilized and ruthless. Ramose, priest and Vizier, is all of these. Kasa, a farmer, must learn to be like him to survive. Neith, wife of Ramose, is driven, first to drink, then to courage. Hathor, who killed her son, finds love, desertion, then a second chance at love. Tiyi, the gentle masseuse, is desired by many, but desires only one.

Watched by the gods of Egypt, the conflict reaches its climax in war. The pyramids, a thousand years old when the story begins, play a crucial part.

Behind all is the God Set, with his question: 'What am I?'

"The God Set or Seth in ancient Egyptian mythology is a mystery, represented by a strange animal. In 'Blue Gold' I set out to explore this mystery in the most direct and exciting way I could. And I've always loved the pyramids!"
