If you know what this is, then I don't have to explain. (Just scan it and see.)
If you don't know what this is, this CNN article explains what QR codes are and how they are changing the face of marketing.
As an author, I'm always looking for new ways to reach my audience, and from the way I've been playing with my Droid X tonight, apparently this is an easy way.
And it's great not just for fellow writers, but for anyone with a business/product/service. Smart phones are taking over the market. Even if only a fraction of people scan your code, considering you can create it for free, that's still a pretty spiffy thing.
So if you need a new marketing idea, here you go. (I'm helpful like that. *smile*) Yes, it's hooked me. My hubby is laughing every time I create a new QR code and start making the muwahaha evil laugh when it works. *LOL*
(Tymber Dalton, who also writes as Tessa Monroe and Macy Largo for Siren-BookStrand, is a bestselling, award-winning author of over twenty-five books, including the 2011 EPIC e-book award winner "Safe Harbor." If you're a geek, scan the QR code. If not, you can find her here.)
