I lose the rest of his mind communication. I'm dodging the swinging, swiping lightblades, given the frequencies are designed to separate my astral body from my physical body.

I maneuver at hyperspeed to leave them hacking at themselves. Once I succeed, I streak upward, still following the columns. Probably a bad idea... yet, something is drawing me... something I must know...  

The black cube hovers, much larger than the proverbial bread box. The ancient geometric evil is one I instantly recognize. 'Don't shoot!' I mind-yell to my lion man.

'Don't shoot!!!' I continue mind-screaming at Dhuroth, as moments tick into a  bleak future I don't want. And must change.

'Why?' I finally mind-hear. 'We are locked, able to destroy now.'

'Black cube,' I mind-shout. 'Solar system killer. It's spinning above me.'

Silence attacks me. I hear the rush of more apparitional warriors. I hear the massive whine of the battlestar's weapon's array. And I know they are about to unload their particle-tearer beams on my lion man and his team.

Goddess, what now? Pray tell me.

'Detected.' Dhuroth's super-serious voice echoes inside my head. 'We are breaking off attack.'

Volcano Calbuco, which has laid dormant for more than 40 years, suddenly erupted on Wednesday causing a thick plume of ash to cloud the sky while thousands of people living in its shadow were forced to flee the 'apocalypse-like' event.
Hundreds filmed the eruption, near the southern port city of Puerto Montt, Chile, and its deadly ash cloud which caused all nearby flights to be grounded for safety.
But one amateur cameraman was surprised to see what appeared to be white lights close to the enormous plume of ash and smoke rising from the mouth of the volcano.
...The footage shows the unexplained pair of lights floating dangerous close to erupting volcano before disappearing.
Tens of thousands of people have speculated on what the UFO could be, suggesting everything from police or emergence services helicopters, to a kind of optical illusion or even an alien craft.
