From the jump-point that is Dhuroth's view of the battlestar, I mentally leap inside the immense sphere. He has told me what to search for, and how. The omega plasma tube has been successfully hidden from the his fighter's sensors, and I must find it rapidly, or the gains that have been made could be lost.
Inside the smoldering ruins near the battlestar's core, I mentally whirl around scanning for telltale... there! The mammoth columns that look like frosted glass rise out of sight. I follow them upward.
No...really?! Three apparitional warriors with lightblades surround the three columns blocking my way.
Sheesh! I don't even have a lightblade. What now? ...
I charge upward. Offense is the best defense...right? At the same time I use my mental ability to explode the images inside Dhuroth's mind.
'Received,' he telepaths. 'Get out...'
I lose the rest of his mind communication. I'm dodging the swinging, swiping lightblades, given the frequencies are designed to separate my astral body from my physical body.
I maneuver at hyperspeed to leave them hacking at themselves. Once I succeed, I streak upward, still following the columns. Probably a bad idea... yet, something is drawing me... something I must know...
The black cube hovers, much larger than the proverbial bread box. The ancient geometric evil is one I instantly recognize. 'Don't shoot!' I mind-yell to my lion man.
