"Safe," Dhuroth repeats behind me, his voice solemn, full of poignancy.
"Is something wrong?" I twist toward him, alarm building inside me.
"We will need to hasten bringing our beloved ones here. Mars is under attack by a Reptilian force."
"No!" rushes from me. I rise, moving toward my lion man. "What do we need to do?"
"We must increase the flow rate of the river of light. Our combined energy, my one, will speed this bridge between our two dimensions."
"Now?" I ask, the pit of my stomach hollow and achy.
"First," he pauses, his hand cupping my face. "First, we must perform a ceremony. An ancient ritual which will increase the power we are together."
"Yes," I murmur, excitement tingling my blood. Yet trepidation also washes over me.

Dhuroth and I sit opposite one another, in contemplation of each other's souls. This is not easy. There is joy. Yet the shadows rise for hours of time, playing havoc ... sometimes concealing our heart lights for each other.
As my lion man has explained, we must merge our consciousnesses in purity -- in the purity of our love for one other. Interlocked in this golden state of Being we will bathe in the paradise pond, as I call it. We will make love. We will use our bliss, and the strength of our union to quicken the river of light -- the etheric bridge between this dimension and Mars.
Time slips into infinity as I observe the shadows of myself in other lifetimes. The scenes form one after another -- the traumas, the dramas. I walk through these visions. I experience what must be experienced.
Until finally, I meet Dhuroth, and our visions blend as one. We kiss in this golden merging. We kiss as we give birth to a new reality.
For that is merely one power when a man and a woman love each other.
