I observe his underlying weariness, the toll his life has taken on him. "How easy is it to penetrate Earth's airspace?" I ask, twirling my glass.

"So far, our portal entry on Earth hasn't been compromised. Watch is maintained twenty-four seven," Reth adds, looking me square in the eye. 

Tingles chill me, and I know in that moment, I will be going on mission. "Anything to stop the psychopaths destroying life on Mother Earth."

"I hoped you would say that." Reth starts to grin, but his expression quickly becomes all too somber.

We gaze at each other, and our silence blasts around me. My mind is filled with scenarios of the tyranny wreck-balling Earth, destroying the innocent and good.

"Why don't we walk the grounds?" I suggest. "Dhuroth has created a garden paradise here."

"Ah, relaxation among the sounds and sights of Martian nature. Why not?" Reth stretches, bear-like in his movements.

"I find solutions are more easily found on my daily walks," I say, and rise.

"We do need solutions." Reth joins me, and we stroll toward the nearest path, and already the birds screech their warnings. "There are specific about 'the strikes' I would discuss with you."
